Yet again, when the Club opened its gates and launched club boats for free taster sails, there was no shortage of beginners wanting to take to the water.
The day highlights were challenging strong winds that made sailing exhilaraiting for those persons and children trying sailing for the first time. We even had our first capsize and rescue at an open day – the children who were briefly in the water thought, ” it was very exciting and can we do it again !”
Numbers taken for a short sail were 135 and the Club hopes the experience has generated an interest in sailing for all those who participated.
