With such a close result in today’s Mid-Summer Regatta, a number of members were asking how we resolve ties at Croydon Sailing club, so here’s a quick guide:

Race type	Legs	Tie breaker
Cup	2	Lowest combined CY-adjusted time
Cup	3*	Best result in third race; the previously dropped result Still a tie? Use lowest combined CY-adjusted time
Series	1	Nothing to do, a tie is fine

Cup races are normally scored using the Bonus Point System and series races using the Low Point System.
